Paverpol is the original and much sought after fabric hardener that was developed by a group of artists in the Netherlands and is now available in Australia.
Artists and hobbyists have been using it for over 15 years and love its versatility. It is weatherproof, adhesive and becomes hard when dry.
Paverpol can be used to make all sorts of materials hard and durable. Porous materials such as textiles, paper, chamois leather, fiberglass, self-hardening clay and all kinds of natural materials are ideal. It will adhere to wood, ceramics, plaster, concrete, stone. You can make figurines, wire figurines, garden statues, dolls, sculptures and many, many other decorations.
How to use Paverpol
A unique property of Paverpol is its fast drying time. This makes it possible to make a finished object in one day, for example a garden sculpture. Paverpol dries completely transparent. Heat, from a hairdryer for example, will speed up the drying time. Colored textiles, possibly with a pattern, retain their original brightness. By adding colored powder (Pavercolor) to Paverpol, it can be colored without slowing down the drying time. For example, you can dye white textiles any color you like. Pavercolor is now available in 27 colors. The colors can be combined to make a vast range of shades. Also we have 4 premixed Paverpol in the colors black, grey, skin color and bronze. Always stir thoroughly before using the premixed Paverpol.
In Paverpol, dipped natural materials are fire retardant. For a sculpture meant to be placed outside, preferably use weather-resistant paint. This can be acrylic or oil paint. Using outdoor paint it is not necessary to varnish the object. Leave the object for at least one week inside to harden completely, before placing it outside.
If the object is not painted, but meant to be placed outside, we do recommend to varnish it after it has hardened completely. This will prevent it from moulding at higher humidity-levels. Paverpol does not stick to synthetics such as plastics.
Protect Paverpol in it’s liquid form from frost. Once it has hardened, however, Paverpol is able to withstand extreme temperatures. Tools and hands can simply be washed in warm water. There is no need to wear gloves if you prefer not to as it is non-toxic. Paverpol is available in a 500 gram pot, a 1000 gram pot and a 5750 gram tub and a 250 ml bottle.

Colour
Working with Pavercolor
Pavercolor is a special colour powder to be mixed with Paverpol to change the transparent Paverpol into your favorite colour. Mix Pavercolor with some water before you add it to Paverpol. This prevents it from becoming lumpy.
Pavercolor metal colors will loose their luster when mixed with Paverpol. The luster can be retained by brushing the dried piece of work with the Pavercolor metal color mixed with Josefine varnish.
All Pavercolors can be simply mixed with water to create water paint. However this paint can only be used for indoor pieces of work.
For outdoor objects (i.e. garden ornaments, garden sculpture) you can mix Pavercolors with Josefine varnish. It then becomes a proper outdoor paint that can be used for painting, brushing and adding patinas.
Pavercolor is available in 30 colours.

Artstone
Working with Art Stone
Art Stone is a fun product with which you can create beautiful stone-effect objects in an easy manner. Art Stone can be used in two different ways. Use it as a self-hardening clay or use the powder to make sculptures or statues that resemble made out of stone.
To make a sculpture resembling stone use Paverpol lead colour or Paverpol transparent mixed with Pavercolor Siena as a basis. It is of course also possible to mix with other Pavercolors.
You can use a pre-form figure of tempex, plaster, ecoshape, or kitchen foil (cover foil with painter’s tape).
Mix the colored Paverpol with the same amount of Art Stone Decoration powder until the clay is one lump that no longer sticks to your hands. Cover your work completely with the colored Paverpol. Put the clay fully or partially onto the layer that is still wet. Thick or thin, coarse or fine, whatever you like. Make sure that the bottom layer is wet. If needed apply a new layer of Paverpol using a brush.
When your work is fully or partially decorated with the clay scatter some powder over it and rub in well. Apply some Paverpol with a brush if the base has become too dry. You can also scatter a little Paverpol on the wet layer and rub in afterwards.
This stone effect is not suitable for outdoor objects. If you want to leave the piece of work outside, you can use a patina instead of powder, which can be made by mixing white Pavercolor with Josefine gloss varnish. Apply with a brush. Remove the surplus patina with a tissue. Let the work dry and make it glossy with a lint-free cloth.
It is also possible to make jewelry: create stones of clay, use a skewer to make holes in them and get a leather lace to thread the beads.
Art Stone is available in 300 and 1250 grams pots.
